When Rachel came to Personal Counseling Service, Inc. she was at a place in her life where she could not leave her house or enjoy spending time with her children. Her first "homework assignment" was just to walk outside of her door. After doing that, Rachel said she began to realize she didn't need to feel isolated or afraid anymore.
She said without PCS, her bed was her treatment. "I would have slept my life away." Through counseling sessions, she learned coping mechanisms to begin finding joy in the every day. Rachel is just one of the many clients we have helped at PCS.
Here at PCS, we believe everyone should have the right to mental health care and provide care to the insured, uninsured, and under-insured populations. In 2017, we served over 4,200 individuals in the Kentuckiana area, 57% of which are at or below the federal poverty line and 65% of which were children and youth.
It is our mission and a true belief we hold that all individuals have access to wellness of the body, mind, and spirit. We hope you'll support us in our mission to create a healthy community across Kentuckiana.
